Arrive at Kathmandu airport, our representative will pick you from airport for Hotel. Pashupatinath & other temples darshan. Overnight Stay at 4 Star Hotel ( Hotel Shankar / Hotel Royal Singi or similar).
After breakfast we will fly for Nepalgunj. Yatra briefing in evening. Overnight at Nepalgunj in Hotel Siddhartha.
Early Morning drives to Nepalganj airport and catch flight for Simikot, rest for few hour at Simikot and then fly to Hilsa by Helicopter. Wait for other group traveller to reach there and drive to Purang. Overnight stay at Hotel Purang.
Its 40-50 minutes flight from Nepalganj to Simikot & then 10-20 minutes helicopter flight from Simikot to Hilsa.
Entire day free for acclimatization and short trek may be taken in preparation for Mount Kailash Parikrama. Overnight stay at Hotel Purang.
Purang is small & very clean town with lots of shops at both sides of road for shopping necessary items for further Yatra. You can buy trekking sticks, water gallon for keeping Holy Mansarovar Water, some packed juices & other things. Some bargaining happens here at almost all shops. Its pleasant experience to roam around at Purang.
After breakfast drive for roughly 2 hours in AC Volvo category bus to Mansarovar Lake and then Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake. Complete Holy Lake Parikrama of approx. 105 KMs by bus, take holy bath and perform Puja at divine Lake Mansarovar. While coming to Mansarovar Lake you will see first day of Kailash today. Its overwhelming experience to see Divine Mount Kailash, just next to Holy Lake Mansarovar while taking bath. Overnight stay at Guest House near Lake Mansarovar. If weather permits, You can visit to Lake Mansarovar in night or early morning (Brahm Muhurt) too to witness the divinity of the place.
After short drive from Lake Mansarovar you will reach to Darchen which is base for Kailash Parikrama & Ashtapad darshan. Will visit Asthapad if get permission by Chinese authorities.
Early in morning after breakfast we will drive to Yamdwar and then trek to Dirapuk ( 10 KMS first day Parikrama). You get blessed with darshan of North Face of Mount Kailash during first day of Parikrama which is considered to be most auspicious. Those who are not doing Parikrama will travel from Yamdwar to Darchen for approx. 30 minutes and stay there in Guest House for 2 nights. You can see & pray to Mount Kailash from Darchen.
**Parikrama is optional. There are few who would be doing Parikrama by walk, few by horse & few old age people may not be doing Parikrama. Those who are not doing Parikrama will return from Yam Dwar to Guest House at Darchen. We will arrange meals & accommodation there. Holy Mount Kailash is easily visible from there & one can do puja from there too. People staying at Darchen will join other group members in 1st half once they complete 3rd day of Parikrama.
Early morning start trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and then Zuthulpuk. Total trek is of 22 KMs on second day of Parikrama. This is the most difficult part of the journey in throughout the yatra since you have to trek up to the 18,600 ft height above sea level. From Doma La Pass descend to Gauri Kund and further trek along with the river to Zuthulpuk. Overnight stay – Lodge / Guest House.
First 6-7 KM (till Dolma La Pass at 5600 m) of 2nd day has very steep climb & most difficult part of Yatra. Yatris are advised to take comfortable time to cover it & take rest wherever you feel problem. After 1st 6-7 KM, remaining 16 KMs are comparatively plain / downwards & comfortable.
Important : Parikrama (Day 2). You will pass through Shivasthal (Sacred place for Tibetans & believed that whatever you offer here, get it in Heaven) & Gauri Kund. After Dolma La Pass its long pleasant trekking way beside river. You will see East face of Mount Kailash here.
Third day Parikrama is of 8 KMs & takes around 3 hours to complete. Generally it gets completed by 9:00 to 10:00 am. After this short trek drive to Darchen and continue drive to Purang. Overnight stay at Guest House.
Drive to Hilsa by AC luxury vehicle, fly back to Simikot by Helicopter then to Nepalgunj by flight & then fly to Kathmandu. Overnight stay at 4 Star Hotel (Hotel Shankar / Hotel Royal Singi or similar).
After b/f free to proceed for your home destination with blessings of Lord Shiva !!

What is the Age Limit for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra:
Minimum 18 years & Maximum 70 years as on 1st January 2018
Carry minimum & light luggage. Most of the flights have limitation of 20 kg / 45 lbs . While returning, you will carry holy water of Mansarovar Lake which may vary from 1 kg – 5 kg. Don’t carry cloths for each day. After starting from Kathmandu for Mount Kailash, you will get hardly one chance to change your cloths.
Tibet Travel Bureau issues permit for Shri Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. We require colored soft copy your valid passport (min 6 months validity from Yatra date) to initiate Tibet Permit processing. For VISA process, Indian residents need to send their valid passport to our Delhi office, at least 1 month before journey date. NRIs /Foreigners from other locations need to carry it to Kathmandu where our representative will collect it for VISA processing. Chinese authority doesn’t issue individual VISA & issued as group VISA for Shree Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. It’s issued on paper & there is no stamping on passport.
TTB (Tibet Travel Bureau) has full authority & final authority for issuances of travel permit. In recent times, we have observed smooth permit procedure still company doesn’t hold any responsibility for deny / delay as its their discretion. We always try to make clear communications all points.

May – September is best time to be there. During day time, it’s pleasant but nights are cold. Temperature ranges from 20 - 5’c. Generally May is 1st month for Yatra & many devotees prefer to go in May. Initial week of May has snow there & a bit cold. June goes smooth, July is rainy season there so Helicopter route is almost chocked. Again its starts in August & continue till September. Days are very comfortable in these months but nights are usually cold. Above all these information, one need to understand that weather keeps on changing there so need to be prepared for all such conditions in any month.
INDIAN CURRENCY IN NEPAL:
Indian currencies, except Rs. 500 & Rs. 1000 are widely accepted in Nepal. It’s advisable to carry Rs. 100 notes for Nepal.
PERSONAL EXPENSES IN TIBET:
Only CNY (Chinese Yuan) is accepted in Tibet. You can exchange your INR or USD into CNY at Kathmandu or Kodari (Nepal - Tibet Border). Majority of the people prefer to exchange currency at Kathmandu / Lucknow / Purang. It has been observed that your international debit cards & ATM cards don’t work/accepted at most of the places so its advisable to carry approx 3000 CNY/ person in cash to meet any exigency requirements. Excess CNY can be converted to INR/USD at Purang while returning.

Toilets are available wherever Hotel accommodation is there. Since Trip To Temples offer 2 days Hotel accommodation at Purang (in Tibet Part) so gives more comfort. Guest Houses are having basic toilets which may not be up to the mark.
Hygienic vegetarian meals (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) is served throughout the journey. Normal & Hot water will be served with meals. We have got a kitchen setup there ar guesthouses & fresh meals are prepared there as per group size.
There will not be any full time doctor/medical with group. As & when required, Liaison Officer / guide manage it on best possibility. On Tibet side, decision of Liaison Office will be final in all circumstances. We recommend you to be sure about your physical fitness & health. To ensure you, it’s advisable to go through medical checkup & work on fitness & yoga. Company doesn’t hold any responsibility for any mis-happening due to non-disclosure of any disease/weak physical fitness/etc.
Caution: Use of any medicine without proper medical consultation may be harmful or even fatal at such high altitude. We strongly recommend you to carry recommended medicines by your qualified doctors. You should take advice on recommended medicines on this site too.
Due to high altitude, there is lower atmospheric pressure & lower oxygen density which results in High Altitude Disease. The major symptoms are nausea, headache, vomiting, breathlessness, disturbed sleep. We recommend you to Google on symptoms, precautions, remedy & prepare accordingly.
You will get good mobile connectivity throughout journey on roaming. Each Liaison Officer & our guide carry mobile phones for exigencies. In Nepal & China, at both locations you can buy local sim by submitting passport copy. In overland route, most of the places during journey in Nepal & some places in Tibet, you get PCO for making calls to your respective countries. Calling through PCO is comparatively cheaper. PCOs are not available in Helicopter route. If you are carrying your phone on roaming, ensure to deactivate your internet connection which has been witnessed very costly.
It is our most important aim that you enjoy your holiday and that we earn your trust. However, we are not responsible for any cancellation due to any industrial disputes, Technical failure of any type of transport we use, loss of earnings, late arrivals or force majeure, or any items beyond our control. After booking, if you wish to cancel your trip, you must notify Trip To Temples. in writing. Once Trip To Temples. receives your notice, cancellation will take effect subject to the following:
If cancellation takes place in between 90 – 150 days prior to your departure date, your full payment will be refund except the non-refundable deposit of USD 300 | INR 15000 for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra & USD 300 | INR 10000 or 20% of Package Cost, whichever is higher for other destinations.
If cancellation takes place in between 30-90 days prior to departure 75% of your payment will be refund except the non-refundable deposit.
If cancellation takes place less than 30 days prior to departure due to client’s personal problems, all previously paid amount(s) will be forfeited.
You need to submit fitness letter from any MBBS doctor before Yatra.
We always put effort to make your journey smooth and pleasant. However as all the Tibet tours and treks run strictly under Tibet Tourism Bureau. Sunny Travel or its Tibet counterpart agent shall not be responsible for any alternation or cancellation of program due to any unavoidable circumstances beyond control such as road blockade, landslide, snow, political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay arrival, lack of transport, visa rejected by Chinese authorities, sickness or accident. Any extra cost incurring there of shall be borne by the clients on the spot. Since Tibet is very remote place and road are very rough sometime good vehicle may braked.
